What to Expect

For your first appointment, whether you’re scheduled for Chiropractic treatment or DOT services, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete and review the necessary paperwork. New Chiropractic patient forms are provided below if you wish to print and complete them prior to your visit.

Expect your first Chiropractic appointment to last at least 30 minutes, as this usually includes a more extensive interview and exam process. The purpose of the patient interview and physical exam is to determine whether chiropractic care is indicated and will be necessary and corrective.

If indicated, Dr. Anderson will provide you with manual Chiropractic adjustments to the spine, pelvis and possibly the extremities. “Manual” refers to the use of hands rather than instrument assisted techniques offered by other Chiropractors.

The adjustment may be preceded or followed by some form of physiotherapy in order to augment the treatment. Therapies offered include cold packs, hot packs, electric stimulation, muscle work or a combination.

Follow-up appointments proceed much the same way as your first appointment, with interview questions and orthopedic testing that is more focused on your complaints. Chiropractic is very diverse and can be tailored for the best possible results.
